Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary. Also known as St. Patrick's Rock, this outcrop of limestone is dominated by a group of buildings including a 12th century round tower, a 13th century cathedral and a 15th century castle. The 'Rock' was visited by St. Patrick in the 5th century and for a time was the royal seat of the King of Munster.
