St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Armagh. Work on building the cathedral began on 17 March 1840 and was halted during the 'Great Hunger' and did not begin again until 1854. It was dedicated in 1873. The Neo-Gothic cathedral with Italianate Victorian Gothic interior dominates the skyline, and is the seat of the Archbishop of Armagh, Roman Catholic Primate of Ireland.
